Fingerless Gloves

St. Patrick’s Day fingerless gloves
  • J Hook
  • 4 weight yarn ( each glove uses a small amount of yarn. Perfect for getting rid of leftover yarn.)

Make two: Gloves work up the same for both hands.

US Terms: Abbreviations

  • Chain – CH
  • Slip Stitch – SL ST
  • Single Crochet – SC
  • Double Crochet – DC

Chain 24,

join with a slip stitch to first chain

Chain 2

Be sure not to twist your chain when joining

Row 1- 24 DC, join to first DC with a SL ST,

chain 1.

Row 2- 24 SC, join to first SC with a SL ST, chain 2

Row 3-8– *Repeat row 1 and 2 three more times.

Tip: You can use a stitch marker to mark your 1st stitch in each row if you’re having trouble keeping track.

Row 9- (This row is where you will make the thumb hole)

20 DC, chain 4, skip the last 4 stitches. Join to first DC, chain 1

Row 10- 20 SC , 4 SC in each chain, join to first SC, chain 2.

Row 11- 24 DC, join to first DC, Chain 1

Round 12- 24 DC, join to first SC, fasten off (by chaining one, cut yarn, and pulling the loop all the way through,)and weave in ends.

Your gloves are Finished!!!

Tip: try on glove before fastening off. If you need more length, add a set of row 1 & 2 as needed.
